If I Can Stop One Heart From Breaking by Emily Dickinson

(For August 27 )
         This poem of Emily doesn’t have a title so it is called by the first line of the poem. I like this poem because it relates to me. Whenever I can help someone even in a simple way, I feel really good about myself.

If I Can Stop One Heart From Breaking
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.
